Day 1:


Arrive in Delhi today and check in to your hotel. Experience a traditional Indian welcome.

Overnight: Delhi

Day 2:


Today we begin our sightseeing of Delhi with a tour of Old Delhi. You will visit the Jama Masjid, India\\\'s largest mosque, followed by a cycle rickshaw ride through the lanes of Chandni Chowk (Silver Street) and the Red Fort. After lunch we will see New Delhi. Highlights include Parliament House, the Presidential Palace and the India Gate. Late in the afternoon, we will explore the superb Humayun\\\'s Tomb, the first Mughal garden tomb. Then we finish our day with one of Delhi’s most striking monuments, the 70-meter high Qutab Minar.

Day 3:

Delhi - Bhopal

Today we will transfer you to the Domestic Airport terminal for the flight to Bhopal. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 4:

Bhopal - Satpura

This morning you will be able to visit the amazing Buddhist place of worship, the Sanchi Stupa. Set on a prominent hill, this is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. Later we will take you to see the cave shelters at Bhimbetka, also a World Heritage site. The paintings inside the caves date back up to 100,000 years, with many completed during the Mesolithic Age. This afternoon we continue on to our destination on the edge of the Satpura National Park, one of central India’s best kept secrets.

Days 5 and 6:


Over the next 2 days you will be able to explore the jungle on jeep safaris, walking tours & on elephant back. The resident naturalists are brilliant, and will help you spot many of the elusive creatures found in the Park. Antelope, bear, Giant Squirrels, leopard, tiger and hundreds of bird species can all be found in Satpura.

Day 7:

Satpura – Bhopal - Umaria

Today we will transfer you to Bhopal in time to catch the overnight train to Umaria. You will be escorted by your own personal attendant who will help you board, and then look after you during the journey. Upon arrival in Umaria, we will meet you and drive you to your lodge in Bandhavgarh National Park.

Day 8:


Bandhavgarh National Park is home to India’s highest density of Royal Bengal tigers. Once a hunting reserve of the Royal Family of Rewa, Bandhavgarh was declared a park in 1968. This is also the site where the famous  white tigers of Rewa were discovered. Wandering through the Bandhavgarh national park on an Elephant Back or by jeep, the chances of seeing a tiger are quite good. Among the other wildlife, nilgai, chausingha, chital, chinkara, wild boar, fox and jackal may all be found

Today is spent exploring the Park and enjoying the surrounds of your lodge.

Day 11:

Bandhavgarh - Khajuraho

After breakfast this morning, we drive to the temple town, Khajuraho. Here there are 25 temples scattered across an area of only 20 square km. Dating back to 950AD, this World Heritage listed site is home to the many erotic carvings produced by the worshippers of Shiva. Tonight you will be able to experience the stunning sound and light show held amongst the Western Group of temples as the backdrop.

Day 12:

Khajuraho - Varanasi

You can re-visit the temples this morning, before boarding your flight to what is thought to be the oldest living city in the world. Tonight you will experience an ‘aarti’ ceremony held on the holy ghats beside the Ganges. This ‘ceremony of lights’ is an integral part of Hindu life.

Day 13:


Today requires an early start for your boat ride on the Ganges. This mystical experience bears witness to rituals which have been taking place every day here for thousands of years. After leaving the boat we will explore the sites and sounds of the city before dining with a local family.

Day 14:

Varanasi - Delhi

After check-out this morning, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. Upon arrival we will assist you to your transfer vehicle for the short trip to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 15:

Delhi - Agra 

This morning we will drive you to Agra, where our guide will meet you, and help you check-in at your hotel. After a brief rest or lunch, we will begin our sightseeing with a visit to the Red Fort where you will have plenty of time to explore. Afterwards we will explore some of Agra’s colourful markets.

Day 16:

Agra – Delhi

Before breakfast we will escort you to discover the World’s most beautiful building, the wonderful Taj Mahal. You will have plenty of time to wander the grounds and buildings which comprise this site, and also time to pause and contemplate. After breakfast in your hotel, we will drive you back to Delhi for your onward journey.
